"Please don't clap." -Jesse Lacey

Today's been pretty terrible.

To start off the day, my (slash my mom's) car battery died. I got in the car to go to school this morning, put the key in the ignition, turned it... and nothing happened. I called my dad to let him know the car wasn't working, and he ended up offering to drive me to school--which was a total blessing, because otherwise I would have had to walk there... So I get to school like fifteen minutes late for my class and have no excuse, so I walk into class feeling like an idiot, and everyone looks at me because my teacher's doing a demonstration. It's art, and since I'm late, there are no good paint brushes left and no pallets. Then I have to walk to seminary... I normally just drive to avoid the elements, but today I don't have a car. And today just happens to be the windiest, coldest, rainiest day we've had since like May or something. You know those crappy, windy, rainy days in Oregon? Today was one of those days. And I got the opportunity to walk to seminary in it. After school, I had a WINK work meeting dealy, and since I'm one of the section editors, I'm the one responsible for producing an extremely high-quality section, which just happens to have the reputation of being the funniest, wittiest section of the whole magazine. No pressure, right? Wrong, because no one in the section has ANY ideas for what to write about, including me, and only one other person in the section is actually willing to write in the first place. To top it off, I feel like I have a hang-over (I don't, really) because of the concert last night, plus severe sleep deprivation never helps (I got home pretty late.) So I've had a sinus/regular all-over headache all day and have had to fight the backs of my eyelids all during school. But! When I finally got home, I had some left-over Panda Express, and took a nice little nap (which wasn't that nice because my headache never went away.) So, today just sucked because I felt like crap (still do) and because the car died... I guess I just needed to rant a little. It's all out of my system now, though, don't worry.

Sorry this post hasn't been very classy, but I've had a very un-classy day, so that's just what you get.

P.S. Say hello to my new BFFs, the Builders and the Butchers. We met at the concert last night with Manchester Orchestra and Brand New. It amazed me how they had two guys playing half of a drumset but they were making 50 times the noise of a normal drumset. Okay, watch this video. I promise, you won't be able to stop yourself from getting completely immersed in the beat. It's phenomenal.
