I love chortling at paper napkin dresses.

I start work tomorrow. Aaah! It's not really that scary because it's pretty simple stuff, but it's IMPORTANT stuff, so I can't mess up! Wish me luck!

Today we had school off. All day it felt like Saturday, and I kept thinking that I had to go to church tomorrow. Finally I realized that it wasn't Saturday, and that I had to go to another two days of school and THEN it would be Saturday, so, naturally, I did nothing today.

I did go jacket shopping again, but alas, I came home empty handed. That shouldn't be surprising, though, because I've been to literally every store near home in the past few weeks of jacket shopping (Macy's, Kohl's, GAP, Zumiez, Pacsun, Sports Authority, REI, Dick's, Ross, Target, Plato's Closet.) At first I thought I was looking for a classy jacket since I'm so grown up (not) but the only thing "classy" I could come up with is a pea coat, and I really, definitely don't want a pea coat. They're cute, but so not my style. But what else is considered classy? So I settled on just needing a warm winter coat, which I do actually need. Currently, my warmest coat is a black fleece zip-up that I got at American Eagle in sixth grade. SIXTH GRADE! It still fits, and is perfectly warm, and in good condition, so technically I don't need a new jacket. But... sixth grade!!! So, circling back around the same stores with a new objective, I continued to come home empty handed. All the warm jackets either have fur somewhere (which I hate), weren't waterproof (which is counterproductive for a jacket in Portland, Oregon), or were huge/poofy/noisy (which I also hate--I don't need a snow jacket!) The only one that I actually liked and met my perameters was a North Face fleece... sound familiar? I already have a black fleece just like it! Erg. Not to mention I'm on somewhat of a budget (we found them for $99 at REI, compared to $165 everywhere else... but still!)

Needless to say, I've hit a dead end. I've come to the conclusion that there is no jacket that meets all of my requirements. I'm pretty much going to give up soon, unless some miracle occurs and North Faces go on sale for like $20. Then I would gladly give up my old, elementary school fleece! But for now, that's all I got.

I wish this was the least of my problems. But I just thought I'd rant for a bit because it's been bothering me lately. How hard can it be to find a decent jacket...? Apparently, really hard.

P.S. So the signature is definitely saved on the other computer, not this laptop. That's why I haven't used it in a few days.

P.P.S. You might notice that my entry titles rarely have anything to do with the actual entry. It is what I like to call a mystery :) probably if you talk to me enough, though, you understand them.
