I guess I'll just stick with hand turkeys.

This is one of those rare times where I explain my entry title. The first title I came up with was much too long to fit / look nice, and it was, "I want to make paper snowflakes, but by my own rules, that's not kosher until after Thanksgiving." So that's why I settled with what cognitively came afterwards, "I guess I'll just stick with hand turkeys."

Some funny things happening lately in the life of Kylie Silvester...

- Today I spent $56 at the store on Christmas gifts (for myself, from my parents) and necessities like shampoo and toothpaste, and I literally had a panic attack. I think I have a problem with spending money... just maybe.

- Last night I had a dream that I was in one of the Harry Potter books. Voldemort was chasing me (of course) and I was trying to hide from him in my parents' bedroom, which was actually Hogwarts. Then my friend Jacob came to the rescue, but instead of rescuing me from Voldemort, he informed me that he wasn't actually a wizard, even though everyone thought he was and he had been attending Hogwarts. I was distraught. But I woke up thoroughly amused.

- I think I'm allergic to my dogs. Which is SO NOT AWESOME.

- I got lost yesterday on my way home from work. Trying to avoid where I broke the car the day before, I drove everywhere and nowhere at the same time. Finally, after a half-hour of driving around blindly, I managed to find my way home. I still don't know how to actually get home from work.

- I just realized that last night when I had the dream about being in Harry Potter, I was wearing Harry Potter pajamas. Hmm... odd.

- When I called my grandma earlier today to tell her I got accepted at Utah State, she got the most excited I've ever heard her get in my entire life. Seriously. She flipped out. It almost made me cry. I love my grandma.

- Courtney is finishing up my senior pictures! Here's one:

Some unfortunate Blazers news / nerd moment: Jerryd Bayless tripped on some carpet and twisted his ankle right before the game tonight so he couldn't play at all. SWEET DUDE. Even sweeter: Travis Outlaw played less than a minute before fracturing his foot. He is expected to be out at least six to eight weeks. Looks like we'll be seeing a lot more of Juwan Howard (thank goodness for veterans) and possibly Dante Cunningham (thank goodness for rookies-- no seriously, look him up.) Somehow we pulled out a win, though. Clearly, I take the Blazers very personally. My favorite part of the entire game, though, was a much-deserved fight which broke out between Lamarcus Aldridge and some Charlotte players, particularly because I had felt like punching the refs and players the entire time, and I was just waiting for someone to do it for me. So, thank you Lamarcus.
