Today has been what one might call a day full of "win." At least, more "win" than most days lately.
1. I'm pretty sure there is something seriously wrong with me. I am quite literally always cold. However, today I didn't even have to wear a jacket... outside! It was like 55 degrees and mostly sunny!
2. I enjoy having a full tank of gas. But I do not enjoy having to pay for it. I got a full tank of gas last Friday, and it is now Wednesday, and my tank is now only half full. I guess this isn't included in my awesome day list, but just a lame life thing that I thought I'd throw in here.
3. Someone at my office loves me, I'm pretty sure. I was dreading going to work today because I had to replace the ink cartridge in the stamp machine for the mail, and I've never done it before, so I didn't want to look like an idiot and struggle with it for forever. So I even got there like 15 minutes early so I would have time to be an idiot, BUT! When I got there... someone had already changed the cartridge for me. It was especially suspicious because they hadn't used it at all after they changed it (I checked.) Hmmm...
4. I saw what I thought to be two bald eagles (turned out to be red-tailed hawks) in my backyard. They were making cool eagle-ish bird noises and circling around my house and everything. I filmed it, but it's not the awesomest video so I'm not gonna post it here. It's on my facebook if you're that curious. Anyways, it was quite the spectacle.
5. I slept in until 9:20, went to school at 10, and was back home to eat lots and lots of pasta for lunch by noon. Oh, how I love crazy final exam schedules.
6. I've been in dire need of new jeans lately. But to make matters worse, my very, very, very favorite pair of jeans ripped right down the butt crack yesterday when I was trying to pick up the dog. So it became an even more dire (direr?) situation. I'd looked a lot of places, but being me, finding jeans that fit right is not an easy task. But today I decided I'd try one last place, and whaddya know, every single pair I tried on there fit me perfectly. Success.
7. Oh, but the Blazers lost hardcore. I'm starting to lose a little faith in them (shhh) especially without Brandon Roy.
8. Okay, now for the (rather) large news. I'm pretty sure I've made the final decision to go back to scout camp this summer. Ever since I decided, I've been remembering all these awesome things that I miss about camp that I didn't even remember before. I'm not so much in love with the job that I'm planning on having there, but we'll see what happens. Interviews are next week, so that should be fun (not.)
9. This weekend is going to be stellar (yes, stellar.) I'm sure you're wondering why. Timmy is coming down from Kelso for Friday and Saturday, which is insanely awesome on its own. But to add to the awesomeness, I don't even have school on Monday because it's the end of the semester. The only lame part is that I still have to be here...in Portland...and go to work in the afternoon. Oh well.
10. Hmm, a tenth one to make is all even... Food for thought: If you had a friend who spoke to you in the same way that you sometimes speak to yourself, how long would you allow that person to be your friend?
