thanksgiving and the rest of my life, thankfully

Finally back in Logan. There's about a  foot of snow in the untouched field behind my building... It's not that cold, about 20, but I haven't been outside for more than about two seconds today so I'm not a very good judge of exactly how cold 20 degrees is.

It turns out that I have no food in this whole apartment. I have a couple cans of soup, endless fruit snacks (they were on sale one time), a couple boxes of Pasta Roni, and two packets of hot cocoa mix. That's pretty much it. No cereal, no milk, no bread, no butter. None of the basics. And I'm too scared of driving in the snow to go to the grocery store... Someone drive for me!!

Traveling yesterday was exhausting. Three hour plane trip from Portland to Boise to Salt Lake City (with none other than a couple of my best friends, Cassy Ramsey and Courtney Smith-- that was a pleasant surprise!) and then a two hour drive with one of  the 105 boys, Rusty (who lives in Salt Lake) (he drove my car for me!) up to Logan. The drive was soooo treacherous. There were about a thousand wrecks along I-15 because of the snow. It was snowing the whole drive, so I was pretty nervous-- especially through the canyon. It was actually the worst once we actually got out of the canyon and into Logan. But we're alive! I plan on not driving to and from Salt Lake very often in the winter months... Oof.

Oh, Thanksgiving! It was pretty wonderful. Gentry came to Portland so we had a little four person Thanksgiving dinner, and then saw Harry Potter 7.5 (My only response to the movie: Why did they have to be naked? That is all.) Gentry and I didn't take a single drinking pic, I just realized, so we'll have to make up for it when we go back home again for Chrimmas.

Thanksgiving dinner-- we all had matching flower headbands! Tender.

Oh, just one more picture before we eat.

Instead of a gingerbread village (as usual) this year we made a gingerbread train!

Oh, you just have to see it in person. It's cray-C.

1000 piece puzzle? No prollum. Dunzo in three days.

They went on a holiday 4-mile race! I stayed behind and had mono.

 Please notice G's holiday socks.

After. They won!
