Well, here we are. I'm about to leave for the summer. Here's my schedule: National Camp School up in northern Washington from June 11-17, then I'm off to work at Camp Meriwether (again) on the Oregon coast from June 17-August 21. After that it's a mad dash to get packed up for school and off to Utah once again.
This is what I'm expecting my summer to look like... Being a boss (literally), being Sacajawea (literally), being freezing cold (figuratively... almost), learning to climb, signing hundreds of merit badge cards every week, getting whiter (rather than tanner), probably getting thrown into the lake a couple of times against my will, water balloon fights with the climbing staff, my picnic tables being stolen by the waterfront staff, prank wars throughout the summer with the campcraft staff (as per tradition), several bazillion angry scoutmasters, getting sick at least six hundred times, chill weekends in Tillamook and Lincoln City, a very very dirty car, lots and lots of drama, shenanigans, shenanigans, and more shenanigans. It'll be a loooong summer, folks.
I would love to hear from you this summer (yes, you!) but you'll have to write me a letter; I've got rare cell phone service and no computer access all summer. If you write me a letter, I'll try my best to write you back, but be patient with me! Free time is hard to come by at camp. Dang boy scouts. Oh, and packages are good, too ;)
