I've been having epiphanies lately like a televangelist has visions.

Here we go.

What I don't understand is why you would want to waste the prime of your life with college. I mean, by the time you're done with college, you're basically in the work force--you're expected to think about marriage and a family and a career, and there's no going back. You just wasted your "glory days" sitting in a classroom learning calculus, which everyone knows you never use anyways. Don't get me wrong, I'm all for going to college and obtaining as much education as possible and all that jazz. But, why has society screwed over everyone's lives with school? There is no time left to experience, travel, find yourself when you're actually still young, when it's most important that you do find yourself. I don't want to just go to high school, graduate, go to college, graduate, get married and settle down. Like I said, by the time I'm out of college, I feel like I'll be old and time will have run out...

I wish I could move to California right out of high school and get some awesome summer camp-like job and just, live. I'd be happy like that. At least, that's how I feel at seventeen. The world is so open at seventeen. And yet I feel like time is already running out. Maybe this is the point in everyone's lives where they get obsessed with the whole "live life to the fullest" thing... Well, if that's the case, then here we go.
